Hmm. How do I relax? I'm afraid I don't do enough of that, but I do like to take a nice long bath with a good book.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm following both you and King's daughters on Facebook.
My ideal way to relax would be to get a massage, but yoga is also great and cheaper - great for mind and body. If I can follow that by an hour of uninterrupted reading... heaven.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of Stir Crazy Mom's on Facebook.
Relaxing during the holidays means cuddling on the couch with my family, with the tree lit up and the lights on low, with holiday music playing in the background. I love the holidays!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of both Stir Crazy Moms and Kings Daughters Inn on Facebook! You guys are great :)
I relax by taking a walk near a body of water. Thanks for the opportunity! I have liked both on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteWith two toddlers, the way I like to relax and relieve stress is to go shopping by myself. Having an hour at Target by myself, shopping and people watching helps me relax believe it or not! (I have liked both Stir Crazy Moms of Durham and Kings Daughters Inn on Facebook).
ReplyDeleteHi, I just found out about your blog - so excited! I de-stress by having my parents take care of my daughter one night (while we're visiting them out of town) so my husband and I can have a date night. Really revives me!
ReplyDeleteI eat lots of sugar
ReplyDeleteOh and I've got likes for you both on Facebook... so pick me, pick me.
ReplyDelete-Abby B.
I like to force myself to stop shopping and stop wrapping and just sit on the sofa with a warm beverage and take in the christmas tree. Parts of the holidays are stressful, but parts can be relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI relax by picking up a holiday-themed novel and curling up under my big fluffy blanket with the book and a cup of hot chocolate after the little guy is in bed.
ReplyDeleteI follow the blog and KDI on Facebook. :-)
Of course I am a facebook fan of Stir Crazy Moms and now I am also a facebook fan of the Kings Daughters Inn. I remember touring the Kings Daughters Inn when it was still under construction and I would love to have the chance to stay there!
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I don't relax and escape until the holidays are over! After Christmas, we usually go to Connecticut to visit my in-laws. I go into New York City for a day. Planning my day in New York and looking forward to it is my stress-relief!
Thanks
jessica
I relieve stress by exercising at my favorite place in Durham--SyncStudio!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a fan of both Stir Crazy Moms and Kings Daughters Inn.
I relax by playing tennis, even this time of year where I might need a few extra layers (well, not this week, but it will be winter eventually!).
ReplyDeleteI'm also a facebook fan - love the posts about different area parks.
My best way to relax is to send the toddler to the grandparents and the husband and dog out for a long walk while i sit on the couch and eat left over halloween candy and look at the tree. And Yes, I'm a fan on Facebook as well, pretty please pick me!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite way to relax is to get a nice warm decaf coffee, bundle the children up in the pj's and drive out to see Christmas lights. Thankfully it gets dark early enough it doesn't blow bedtime and we all enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteFan of Kings Daughters Inn
ReplyDeleteFan of Stir Crazy Mom
I relax by taking a hot bath and reading Us Weekly.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan on facebook
Yoga. Lots and lots of yoga. And also hot chocolate. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of Kings Daughter's Inn on FB.
Thanks!
What a great giveaway! Relaxing after the holidays would mean letting all of the elves secretly put all the Christmas decorations away! Ha! Or enjoying a magazine or a book by the fireplace.
ReplyDeletePS...I have liked both Stir Crazy Moms and Kings Daughters Inn on FB.
Wow! Awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI de-stress by running...and doing a lot of it! Ha!
I liked you both of FB.
Relax? I need to! That's why I want to win! :)
ReplyDeleteGetting a long run in helps me relax, and so does the chocolate I nibble on the rest of the day!
Wow...this would our first night away since having kids!! (yes, plural...over 3 years!) I relax by going to bed early..is that lame?!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm following both pages on Facebook.
I keep really busy with events during the day for the kiddos, but at night we slow down. After pj's and brushing teeth, we'll take a nightime pj walk and look at holiday lights. Then we turn off all the lights in the living room except for the tree and a candle, and read a holiday book right beside the tree. It's such a fun, relaxing tradition. After the kids go to bed, I work on DIY gifts, which is so rewarding.
ReplyDeleteI like to de-stress by going for a long nature walk on the Al Buehler trail, followed by a cup of hot coffee and one of those decadent brownies from Nosh. Since entering mommy-hood, I really appreciate simple pleasures like this.
ReplyDelete(I'm a fan of yours and King's Daughters Inn on Facebook!)
With all the kids snug in their beds, I race down the stairs for some merlot based reds. And with daddy on his computer and the dog on her 4th nap, I settle in front of the TV for a sugar-filled snack.
ReplyDeleteI relax by having a glass of wine, curled up on the couch with my Kindle while Husby reads the paper next to me with music playing the background!
ReplyDeletePlus, I've been a follower of yours for a while on Facebook and now I'm one of Kings Daughter as well!
Not sure how I would relax, but it sure would be fun to find out. (Like both of you on facebook)
ReplyDeletePlaying the Casting Crowns Christmas Album and watching our kids play with manger scenes in front of our lit tree at night.
ReplyDeleteI like to relax by taking a long walk or with a yummy peppermint mocha!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! What a wonderful giveaway. I like to relax by walking, reading or watching one of my favorite t.v. shows ... and of course getting a little escape with my husband!

ReplyDeleteBook + hot chocolate + early bedtime for my little cutie!
ReplyDeleteNot on fb but I'd like you and KDI there if I could!
:) Kathryn
With a 3yo, and 18month old boy and a third boy due in 8 weeks, simple things to relax! Coffee or dessert and snuggling on the couch watching a favorite TV show with my husband, the occassional dinner out just the two of us, or an afternoon nap while both boys nap! Fan of your FB page, also me and my boys were at Superior Gymnastics with you and yours in May for one of the trial classes!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love to bake! And I like you on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteSo apparently my first comment didn't go through (internet crash on my end) so here I am leaving the first part (and the likes bit is above). So, how do I relax... breathing deeply as I walk very slowly around the back end of the car after strapping my kiddo in on the passenger side. That walk from one side of the car to the other can sometimes be quite long.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, pick me. I have a nursing 9 month old so a getaway less than 5 minutes away would be perfect. So perfect. Plus I've been wanting to check out Kings Daughters Inn.
-Abby
I love to turn all the lights off except the Christmas tree lights and sit in my PJs with a mug of hot chocolate, staring at the tree - so relaxing!
ReplyDeleteAs a couple we relax with a dinner out and then shopping at Barnes and Noble.
ReplyDeleteMy idea of relaxing usually involves one of the 3: painting, scrapbooking, or reading...
of course a quiet bubble bath is my ultimate idea of chillaxin.
I relax and escape the stress of the holidays by making one weekend morning entirely family-focused. We make pancakes, stay in our PJs, read as many books as my kiddos want, and don't do ANY housework or errands during that time. It feels like an incredible luxury, and so worth it!
ReplyDeleteI just 'liked' y'all on FB for an extra entry!
Amazing Prize!
ReplyDeleteIf I get to relax, it's by taking a half hour or so for myself at Starbucks or Panera. Remove the responsibilities for just a few minutes and I am much more productive.
I'm following you both on FB. :)
I tend not to stress out about Christmas and gift giving in general, but I stress just about everything else. I love to cook and bake to take my mind off all the craziness. I also scrapbook or read just to decompress. I'd love a nice relaxing stay at KDI though! It would be a wonderful treat!
ReplyDeleteI've been a fan of KDI for a while now on FB, but I did just like your page too. Looking forward to hearing what's going on.
ReplyDeleteLove this! I relax by reading (when I should be sleeping)!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful to have family who help relieve holiday stress by helping with the kiddos and giving me a little time to take care of things (and enjoy a date night, here and there!).
ReplyDelete**I am a facebook fan of Stir Crazy Mom's and King's Daughters Inn :)
I live nowhere near Durham...but if I won, i would definitely give this to another mom who has entered. How fun would that be! :)
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of both pages on FB!!!
I turn out all the lights but the Christmas tree and listen to carols!
ReplyDeleteAnd I "like" both King's Daughters and Stir Crazy Moms on Facebook!
De-stress? Hire a sitter and head out to Six Plates, of course.
ReplyDelete- Suzanne
(I like both pages on FB)
After the kids are in bed, a classic Christmas movie and a cup of hot chocolate with a shot of Irish cream goes a long way.
ReplyDeleteA weekend at KDI couldn't hurt either! Following both KDI and the blog on Facebook.
To beat the holiday stress, I crawl under the covers with the New Yorker and relax. I'm a fan of both on FB.
ReplyDeleteI relax by watching Real Housewives :) don't have to think, can just watch the craziness. I like you on Facebook! Thanks for offering this giveaway
ReplyDeleteTake turns with the morning kiddie patrol and sleep in! I like both of you on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteEvery year I make my fellow mommies homemade spa gifts like sugar scrubs and bath salts. In the process I just HAVE to try out the new recipes by taking a few relaxing and rejuvenating baths myself. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity. I like both Stir Crazy and KDI on Facebook.
Have the kids asleep by 7, followed by wine and a movie with my wife.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan on FB too!
With two wild boys, almost 2 and almost 4years old. I relax with a glass of wine aftr they go to bed. But, I would love to relax with a nice bubble bath in a soaking tub at the Kings Daughters Inn, unfortunately our bath tub is too small!
ReplyDeleteI like to relax with a nice glass of wine and a soak in the hot tub (after my son has gone to bed, of course!).
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of both pages on FB!
Working out is the best way for me to relieve stress. Going on a date with my husband is also really nice, but sometimes harder to arrange since we have to find a babysitter!
