The Kangaroo Pouch

What it is: When I did my recent post on consignment stores and sales in the area, I reported on the best places to consign in the area that I had found.  Unfortunately, we didn't have a great spot for those of you in North Durham.  Well, one of our fabulous readers gave us a suggestion for a great place in North Durham called Kangaroo Pouch.

The Kangaroo Pouch is located off of Guess Rd. just North of its intersection with I-85.  It sells a variety of maternity and children's clothes in addition to baby gear, toys, and books.  The items are all of great quality and reasonable prices.  To consign items, you bring them in and receive 40% of their final selling prices as is traditional with many consignment stores.  You get paid on the 15th of every month.

What we liked:  I liked how it wasn't very crowded so we were able to shop in peace.  It would also be a nice environment to consign your items in peace.  In addition, the store owners are very careful in what items they take, so the clothes and toys seemed to be in great condition and well-cared for.  Plus, it's a fabulous, convenient location for those of you up in North Durham.

What we would change:  I feel like the selection was not what it is at some of the other area consignment stores and sales.  However, it is a smaller store.  Even though it is small there are a lot of quality items to be had.
