Founder - Katy Davis
Katy is a stay-at-home mom to her two boys born and one energetic dog. She and her husband lived in Durham for six years, moved to Seattle for a couple of years, then back to Durham, and in 2015 sadly moved to St. Louis. Before staying home with her sons she was a special education and elementary education teacher for several different schools. When not adventuring with her family and blogging about the results, she is usually running, traveling, or eating! We really miss Katie and can't appreciate the community resource she created enough.

Original Bloggers at the founding:
Mary Odegaard -- Mary is a work-at-home mommy of two girls. A freelance writer during naptimes and nighttimes, she also enjoys sewing, cooking and spending time with friends and family. Her family's favorite toddler hangout is the Museum of Life and Science, where she's most likely to be found mooing at the cow. As of summer 2011, Mary lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
Candy Johnson -- Candy is a mother to two boys 2 and 1/2 years old and 5 months, and a deprived and tortured German Shepard. Her husband is in his final year (we hope!), of his residency at UNC. The Johnson family moved here from Little Rock, Arkansas four years ago, where Candy was a middle and high school teacher and administrator. Prior to her birthing room resignation from Cary Academy, she taught 6th grade language arts. Candy enjoys spending her days chasing after her boys, blog-stalking, cheering for the Razorbacks, and cooking food for her two year old, even though he eats none of it. As of summer 2011, Candy lives in Arkansas.
Hilary Burt -- Hilary is a part-time working mom of a 2 and 1/2 year old boy and a new baby girl. When she is not at home she works as a Physician Assistant in oncology at Duke. Hilary grew up in Northern CA and has lived in the Triangle with her husband since 2003. She loves the outdoors, traveling, and ice cream. Since her real family is so far away, she loves having a network of friends in the area that feel like family. As of summer 2011, Hilary lives in California.
Nicole Rabaud (our North Durham blogger) -- Nicole is a stay-at-home mom of two girls ages 4 and 2. She is French but grew up in Hong Kong and moved to the United States to start college. She studied Biology and Chemisty at Santa Clara University and completed her PhD in Environmental Chemistry at the University of California Davis. Her husband is a biochemist at Duke. Nicole enjoys horseback riding, cycling, swimming, hiking, sewing, quilting, and cooking (with and without the kids). As of summer 2011, Nicole lives in California.
