What it is: This is one of my favorite little Christmas traditions. We've done it with the boys for two years now, and they've really enjoyed it. It's a website called Portable North Pole. What you can do is answer a few questions (your child's first name, what they want for Christmas, etc.), upload a few pictures if you want, and they will create a personalized video message from Santa to your child. You can even select a message for a "naughty" or "nice" child. It's a cute video and the personalization makes it a big hit with the kiddos. My boys always love their "email" from Santa.
What we liked: It's free, so that's nice. Plus, it's really fun that your child can get a realistic video message from Santa where he says their name, talks about them personally, and shows pictures of them (that you upload). I think it's a cute concept.
What we would change: Well, of course, you can pay a little money (to a good cause) for the advanced video that includes a personalized phone call as well, While I'm sure that would be fun, we've always been fine with the free version.
