The Children's Store

What it is: We first wrote about The Children's Store in our entry about University Mall in Chapel Hill.  However, now they have moved to a shiny new store in Chapel Hill, so we decided that they needed their own shiny new blog post!

The Children's Store is a fabulous toy store!  It's great to find toy stores that have some unique and different toys, and since those of us in South Durham have just lost two toy stores recently, we're so grateful to have The Children's Store.  They sell toys and gifts for newborns to upper elementary aged kids. (Really, there were plenty of toys in there that I would like to have myself!)  They have a book section as well as baby apparel and every sort of toy that you could ever think of!  They even have a few car, train, and activity tables where the kids can try out some of the toys.  The Children's Store also offers special events and a weekly story/craft time on Wednesdays at 10:30.

What we liked:  We love the variety of toys that there are to look at.  There were old favorites, but plenty of new toys that I had never seen before.  Their selection was also great!  Of course, the activities tables for the kids were great, and we love the fact that they offer a storytime.  Another great benefit is their location right next to a Locopops which adds an extra treat to any outing.


What we would change: Since they moved, a lot of people don't realize that they have a new and improved location.  We hope that this blog can help get the word out about their new spot.
