Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen

What it is:  When we stopped by Caffe Driade in Chapel Hill, my friend who was a UNC undergrad told us that we had to stop next door and check out Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen.  Of course-you know this Stir Crazy Mom-I like good food, especially that the kids can appreciate.  So, we had to check it out.

Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen is a little drive thru stop located just off Franklin St. in Chapel Hill.  As the name suggests, they sell all manner of biscuits filled with yummy treats like ham, bacon, cheese, steak, chicken egg, etc.  They range in price from $1 to $3.50.  The biscuits themselves are huge and delicious.  They are plenty for a large breakfast for one person or for several kids to split.

What we liked: We love the price and we love the biscuits.  My friend was right, they were delicious.

What we would change: Of course, the biggest drawback was that they didn't have anywhere to sit and enjoy the deliciousness.  However, I can see this being the perfect breakfast picnic item.  We picked ours up and then headed over to Umstead Park to sit and enjoy our treats.  Even picky eaters would enjoy their fluffy plain biscuit.
