I know I normally post on places in Durham that I have already been to, but this time I'm going to make an exception and post on some place in Durham that I would really like to exist so I could go to it.
A little while ago I was contacted by Emily McCall who wants to start up the Stay and Play Cafe. What this cafe would be is a place where moms can sit and have nice coffee and their kids can play in a great play area. It would be a wonderful place for the moms to relax and the kids to play and have fun all at the same time. I think this sounds like a great idea, and I would love to have something like this in Durham!
Emily has started a kickstarter campaign. What kickstarter does is it allows people to donate to projects that need a little money to get them started. Well, a lot of money has been donated so far. Now, there is only 24 hours left to donate and she needs about $5000 more. That's definitely doable if all the moms in Durham that would benefit from this pull together and donate what they can. Plus, it's really easy and secure to donate, you can just use your amazon account if you have one. Oh, and you get fun rewards for donating certain amounts of money. If the Stay & Play Cafe doesn't meet its goal, then you don't pay anything, so this next 24 hours is really important.
Stir Crazy Moms has donated...if you think this is a great idea, then head over and donate before the 24 hours is up! Thanks, and we will now return to our regularly scheduled postings! :)
