The idea for this post has been going around in my head for a long time. Sarah, one of our other Stir Crazy Moms, suggested having "Free Friday" posts a long time ago. At that time we couldn't because we were happily posting our "Food Truck Friday" posts. However, the idea stuck. Now, summer is rolling around. This means that all of the school-less families will be searching for things to do and ways to get out and about. We will all need as many ideas as possible, and we can't afford to pay $9 to go to a bouncy house or pay an admission fee every day.
So, as a result of all of this, I thought it would be fun to revisit some of our best FREE fun ideas from museums to storytimes to meals. We'll search through all of our archives and hopefully find some new free things to try. Please let us know if you have any ideas of your favorite free places or what sort of things you'd like to see us find for these Friday posts. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy our first "Free Friday".
This time we're going to hit a place that everyone in Durham knows and loves. Everyone's been to the NC Museum of Life and Science and has their favorite spots. We love finding new corners and events to explore at the museum and they never disappoint. From the butterfly releases at 11am to summertime fun at the newly opened "Into the Mist" exhibit, there's always fun to be had. However, it can be expensive if you don't have a membership. What can you do? Well, turns out Wednesday from 1-5pm the museum is free for Durham County residents. So, here's our post about just some of the fun that you can have at the museum. Head over this summer on a Wednesday afternoon and enjoy some great FREE fun!

I own Jazzercise of Chapel Hill and Durham and we are hosting Free Weekends (including Fridays!) during March. We have Friday morning classes at 9:15 at 1910 Sedwick Rd, Suite 300C, 27713 as well as at 8:15 and 9:20 at 630 Weaver Dairy Rd, Suite 103 in Chapel Hill. And, all of our weekday morning classes have free childcare on-site. We'd love to have some Stir Crazy Moms join us! https://www.facebook.com/JazzerciseofChapelHillandDurham.
