There was one change with this trip, however. Someone had commented on our last post that Shiki was also good for kiddos, so we had to test that theory and we brought along the boys. The restaurant looked bigger and more sophisticated with a really elegant space and a fun fountain out front. The sushi was good, as always, and the curry that we tried was really excellent. For the boys, they have a kids menu complete with crayons to decorate it. The meals were $6 or $7 but they included main dish, rice or noodles, drink, and ice cream sundae for dessert. My picky boys tried the chicken strips and ate them right up.
What we liked: The atmosphere was nice, and the food was delicious as always. It it nice to have a place where we can eat some delicious interesting, adult food, but there are still things the boys will eat. Plus, they enjoyed trying out the chopsticks. The location is also great for those of us in S. Durham. Oh, and if you go at lunch, the adult prices are very reasonable with entrees on the non-sushi menu under $10.
What we would change: I felt like it took a little longer than it should have for our food to arrive, but it wasn't too long. Plus, they didn't have any milk for the kiddos, but they loved the lemonade instead.
