Tweetsie Railroad Giveaway

All Aboard! If for some crazy reason you've never been to Tweetsie Railroad, there's no better time than right now. Spring is beautiful in the High Country of our fair state, and for almost 60 years Tweetsie has been a vacation destination for young and old alike. I actually grew up in Boone, so going to Tweetsie was just a way of life for us, and when I return with my kids, it's like I'm a child again myself. The Wild West theme park has a ton of fun for everyone from their 3 mile ride on a historic steam engine locomotive, to a petting zoo, can-can dancers, a chairlift rides, merry-go-round, panning for gold, go-karts, Day Out With Thomas™, July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza, the Ghost Train® at Halloween and much more!

There is plenty to enjoy at North Carolina’s first theme park, including all the rich characters you'll meet. Just imagine your kiddo dressed up in their favorite cowboy hat as you stroll through an authentic Western main street, when he spots a real live cowboy, spurs and all! Or the look on her face when the sheriff rides up on a real horse as your train pulls up to an old fort. And did I mention that Dora the Explorer™ and Diego™ will be there this summer in addition to fan favorite Thomas The Tank Engine?

Besides the theatrics on the Wild West train adventure, you can check out blogging, can-can dancing, and lots of special events. There is always a new adventure to be had at Tweetsie Railroad, so start planning your trip today and be sure to check out the special events taking place during the 2016 season.

Instead of a birthday party, my daughter is choosing to spend a couple days in the mountains, which will include spending a day at Tweetsie! I honestly love the little animal area - the whole family always enjoys it.

My son's favorite thing last year at Tweetsie Railroad was the skylift! We rode it over and over and probably will again this year.
