Cornwallis Road Park

What it is: Thanks again to our wonderful readers for suggesting another great Durham park!  Cornwallis Road Park will definitely be added to our own park rotation in the futur.!  When we arrived we at first noticed all of the interesting types of climbing rocks and walls that were unique to this park.  There were lots of structures that were different for the kids to play with.  They had swings, picnic tables, typical play structures, climbing walls, and more!  It also looked like there were some trails to explore, but unfortunately, the skies opened up and it started pouring while we were playing so we didn't get enough time to explore.  Cornwallis Road Park is also home to one of the areas few disc golf courses if you are interested.

What we liked: As we said, the playground was different with some unique features to keep the kids interested.  It was also off of a quiet road and fairly well contained even though there was no fence.  We definitely can't wait to head back again for more play time when the weather allows.

What we would change: When we went, before the clouds opened up and it started to pour down rain, the sun was actually pretty strong and most of the play structures were out in the sun.  So, it might not be the best park on a hot sunny day.
