We parked in the lot next to Motorco which is across Rigsbee Ave. from the Pit. There weren't any signs to say that we weren't allowed to, and it was fine. The only tricky part is that you have to access the parking lot from Geer St. behind Motorco because its access on Rigsbee is blocked off.
Contrary to their Raleigh location, we walked in with no wait at all. This was for lunch, so I'm not sure if they have a dinner wait, but hopefully it's better than in Raleigh. The location is huge, with a nice big bar area and lots of seating. It's a nice atmosphere. They seated us and showed us a menu that looked very similar to its other location. We received our complementary biscuits and hush puppies which were yummy and a big help to keep the kiddos happy. They have a nice big kids' menu, so we selected the hot dog and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, at this experience, most of our food wasn't as good as we had remembered at the other Pit. We are hoping that it's because they just opened, and we'll go back to give them another try at some point. Has anyone else tried it? What was your opinion on the food? The highlight was definitely my yummy bacon burger on this trip!
What we liked: As with the other location, we like the nice big kids' menu and hush puppies and biscuits to start your meal. It's also in a nice location near the farmers market and right next door to Fullsteam and Motorco. Plus, this location doesn't have the long wait that you can find in Raleigh.
What we would change: As we said, the food wasn't as good as we had remembered, but hopefully that will improve as they work all their opening kinks out!
