The entry fee was similar to most, $10 for an adult and $5 for each of my boys (3 and 4 years). I got on the hay ride which had filled up and was greeted by very pleasant and relaxed family-friendly staff. It is always nice when people enjoy what they are doing! On we went, and were given a little bit of history about the farm on our way. We rode past some large (adult and bigger kid-friendly) corn mazes that a few folks opted to walk through as opposed to riding the tractor to get to our destination.
Once we arrived (about 5+ minutes later), we were greeted by several activities (giant hay bales, child sized tractors and pedal cars to ride, air-filled ponies to race, corn hole), a snack truck, sandboxes, a jumpy house, and a beautifully spacious field all around. One unique feature that we didn't have time to try was a "train' tractor pull. Basically a tractor that pulled these little cars behind. It looked like fun!
Although we were sharing space with many families, it was open enough that it didn't feel- crowded-which was really nice. My boys preferred the sandbox and the jumpy house-so we spent most of our time there. I packed a lunch so we didn't purchase from the snack stand. I noticed, however, that cash was required. We had a great morning! My boys cried when it was time to go, and they rarely do that--thumbs up to Mrs. Ruth's farm!
What we liked: Friendly staff, reasonably priced pumpkins, wide open spaces, and fun for the whole family.
What we would change: Maybe credit card welcome at the snack stand? Also, not something that we could change, but worth mentioning, it was sunny out the morning we were there--put sun block on your kids if you are concerned.
