We headed over last Tuesday, paid our incredibly cheap $3 for admission, and the kids immediately took off. They had a great time running around and getting all of their energy out while we could easily watch them in the contained space. Not only did it keep them occupied for the whole hour and a half, they even had bathrooms right around the corner which was great for my little potty training boy.
What we liked: We liked how it was a safe, fun, indoor environment where kids could play without running off. It gave the kids a chance to blow off some steam and the adults a little bit of a chance to relax. Plus, at $3 it's only of the cheapest indoor events we can find. Oh, and it's located in the middle of downtown Carrboro at the Century Center, so there's all sorts of nearby fun to be had. We chose to stop by Neal's Deli for some absolutely fabulous biscuits on our way, but you could also head to Open Eye Cafe for a little pick me up before you head on over.
What we would change: One of the only drawbacks I can see is that this great playtime not always an option. It would be great if this was offered all day, every day, but I guess we'll just have to settle for one morning a week. In addition, it's a bit of a drive for us to get to Carrboro, but well worth it. In addition, it's only for kids under 5. I don't know how long it would have held the attention of my older son, but it was perfect for my 2.5 year old.
